Hope Hicks to return to President Trump's White House as adviser

WASHINGTON – Hope Hicks, one of President Donald Trump’s closest advisers who resigned nearly two years ago, is set to return to the White House, administration officials confirmed on Thursday.

Hicks, who left the White House in 2018 as the White House communications director, will not return to the communications team. She will instead work closely with the president’s son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner and White House Political Director Brian Jack, according to a senior administration official.

“There is no one more devoted to implementing President Trump’s agenda than Hope Hicks,” Kushner said in a statement Thursday. “We are excited to have her back on the team.”

Since leaving the White House, Hicks served as the head of communications for Fox Corporation, the parent company of Fox News. Before her departure, she was considered one of the president’s most trusted confidantes.
