Dwayne ‘The Rock’ shares heartfelt eulogy for dad

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson on Friday shared the eulogy he delivered for his father, wrestler Rocky Johnson, in an Instagram TV video.

Rocky Johnson died Jan. 15 of a heart attack. He was 75.

The video, which features footage from the funeral and other moments including old film and photos, runs for almost 11 minutes.

“I wish I had one more shot, just to say goodbye, say I love you, say thank you, I respect you but I have a feeling he’s watching, he’s listening,” Johnson, 47, says in the video. 

“I know my dad would be saying ‘kayfabe the tears!'” he chuckled before thanking everyone for their condolences and tributes to his father. “To my dad, to our dad.”

Rocky Johnson — born in Nova Scotia, Canada, as Wayde Douglas Bowles — started his professional wrestling career in 1964 with the National Wrestling Alliance.
