Jason Davis, ‘Recess’ voice actor, dead at 35: reports

“Recess” voice actor and former child actor Jason Davis has died at 35 in Los Angeles Sunday, according to The Hollywood Reporter and Variety.

In a statement to the outlets, Davis’ mother Nancy said she was heartbroken.

“Jason had a true heart of gold with such a zest for life. He was such a caring soul to everybody who ever knew him,” she said. “He loved his friends and his family above all else. We ask for privacy as we take time to grieve this most devastating loss.”

The cause of death remains unknown at this time.

Davis voiced Mikey Blumberg on the Disney Channel animated series from 1997 to 2001. He’s also known for the 1998 film “Rush Hour” and the 1997 film “Beverly Hills Ninja.” He also made appearances on “Roseanne” and “7th Heaven” in the ’90s.
