No-frills airline Allegiant Air, continuing its aggressive expansion, is adding nine new nonstop routes this summer.

The new flights are concentrated in San Diego and Las Vegas, which is the airline’s home base. Introductory fares range from  $43 to $69 one way for travel between June and mid-August, and tickets must be purchased by Wednesday, Feb. 12.

Allegiant charges bargain fares and fees for everything else, including advance seat assignments, carry-on bags, boarding pass printing at the airport and in-flight soft drinks and snacks.

Allegiant operates differently than traditional carriers, generally offering service a couple times a week on each route.
